The liver is the largest gland in the human body. Liver in humans is located on the top of the cavum abdominis, below the diaphragm, on both sides of the quadrant, which are mostly found on the right. Weighing 1200 - 1600 grams. Liver were fixed in close by intra-abdominal pressure and wrapped by peritoneum except at the posterior-superior regions adjacent to the inferior v.cava and direct contact with the diaphragm. Parts that are not covered by the peritoneum is called bare area.Terdapat peritoneal reflection from the anterior abdominal wall, diaphragm and abdominal organs to the liver such as ligaments.
